FAQs and Exciting Fishy Face Designs Jewelry Giveaway!

Posted May 26 2011 3:49pm

A very strange thing happened to me last night. Yesterday was the last day of my overnight oats challenge, yet I willingly chose to make overnight oats for today’s breakfast!

In the mix:

  • 1/2 cup non fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1/2 cup multigrain oats
  • and a big glob of peanut butter added this a.m.

Another weird thing that happened was that I actually felt like I added too much peanut butter!

What is going on around here? :P

Before I get into the super exciting part of this post I thought I would do a quick Q and A for a couple questions that I’ve gotten in the last few weeks.

#1 Have you ever been overweight?

The short answer to this question is no. However, it’s important to understand that the only reason that I have never been overweight is because I was bulimic and coped with overeating in very unhealthy ways. Therefore, I feel a strong kinship with people who are overweight and/or struggle with their weight.

Due to my disordered eating, my body weight and size fluctuated a great deal over the years, between a size 2 and a size 10. The healthy, happy size I am fluctuates slightly depending on the weather, my mood, and the type of workouts I’m doing.

#2 Where did you get Mosely and what breed is he?

Last spring I begged Nick to agree to adopt a dog. As he is allergic to most breeds, I scoured the web to try to find a hypoallergenic rescue and was lucky enough to find Mosely via . He was only 9 weeks at the time and was being cared for by Second Chance Animal Rescue in Vindalia, Illinois. The rescue had him listed as a miniature Labradoodle and predicted that he would grow to be about 35 lbs.

I contacted the head of the rescue and we went down to visit him the next week. I don’t have to tell you that it didn’t take long for both of us to fall head over heels in love with this little guy!

Clearly, Mosely isn’t a Labradoodle nor is he a miniature anything! Fortunately, Nick isn’t allergic to him and our apartment manager doesn’t mind his size! Based on his personality and physical features, we think that Mr. Mo is a Golden Retriever and Black Lab mix.
