Last night, my boyfriend’s sister had a fajita night at her apartment. My boyfriend was recruited to cook, so I was assigned the role of sous-chef. He took charge, but I completed the important role of grating two types of cheese: sharp cheddar and habanero Cabot cheese (reppin’ VT cheese), as well as cubing some avocados.
Tons of colorful peppers + onions
Some baby shrimp (there was also steak)
I didn’t take too many pictures because I’m just getting used to taking picture of food around other people, but we had: shrimp & steak, HUGE multigrain tortillas, peppers + onions mix, cubed avocado, black beans, spanish rice, salsa, sour cream, refried beans, 2 types of cheese.
Mix-and-match foods like fajitas, tacos, oatmeal, ice cream sundaes are the best – I love choices and combos!
We ended the night with a fun game of apples to apples. I love playing ironic cards, and the key is to play cards for the person judging (play history people during a history major’s turn). Overall, lots of laughs!
I got bored at tonight’s dinner…
…and got called a dork.
I saw this quote today after yoga and it really spoke to me, especially after yoga.
Be patient towards all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will find them gradually, without noticing it, and live along some distant day into the answer.
It’s hard to not be in control and have uncertainties in your life, but the answers will come with time when you least expect them.
