Yes life is good for us during the summer. We created our own extra long weekend these last few days. It all started Thursday when hubby had to go up to Barrie to pick something up so we decided to make a day of it. We headed up early in the day and spent the day soaking in the sun and playing in the sand. Marina had a ball! Friday we headed out bright and early and headed back up to Tobermory for a Scuba Diving Extravaganza that hubby was taking part in. This weekend consisted of around 25 divers diving night and day and all staying at this one cottage that was right on the water with fabulous views. Marina and I tagged along to enjoy the beautiful area and spend time with hubby while he was out of the water. Here is Marina posing with the boss man, Matt, and just showing off not even 1/4 of the diving gear that was up there this weekend. Marina and I spent alot of quality time together which was fabulous!
Saturday the divers were out all day so Marina and I headed to Singing Sands Beach and she spent the day there playing in the warm water and playing in the wet sand.
This is the deck of our weekend rental cottage, absolutely beautiful!
Here is hubby coming in from a full day of dives out on the lake. Yes he is the one sitting on the front of the boat....that is my hubby!
Sunday hubby was on Teak Isle instead. Marina went onboard to get a few quick pics before the boat went out.
That is the Chi-cheemaun ferry in the background.
Tobermory is a gorgeous part of Ontario and I recommend everyone to head up there atleast once in their lifestime, even if you are not a diver (it is the scuba diving capital of Canada) there is lots to see and do.
It was a great weekend but I did wake up today with a big headache. I unfortunately missed my tempo run on Thursday, my long run on Sunday and my track run today. ARGH......I know bad. Tomorrow is scheduled to be a full day at the zoo but I will try my hardest to get in some type of workout after walking all day up and down the Toronto Zoo!
