Every Summer NYC host the ‘Big Apple BBQ.’ Madison Ave is shut down between 23st and 27st and is packed with people looking for the best ribs and pulled pork sandwiches from 17 of the top BBQ pitmasters in the U.S.
This year I was lucky enough to be a part of the festivities. The restaurant I work at hosted ‘Every Day with Rachel Ray.’
There were Book signings
Along with lectures and cooking demonstrations
It was packed!
John Markus, over at Big Bob Gibson’s BBQ offered me to sample their Pulled Pork Sandwich. John is producing a new show on TLC called “BBQ Pitmasters,” which looks at the world of competitive barbecuing.
Boy was I in HEAVEN! The pulled pork was very moist – and their secret was adding a vinegar mixture to the pork while chopping it. So delicious. I ate up the ENTIRE thing (80-20 baby)
