Dropping Things…On Your Face

I would like to give a big thank you to Skinny Runner  for featuring me on her blog yesterday. If you haven’t checked out her blog, you should. It’s great and one of my favorite running blogs.

Yesterday’s Workout

  • Stationary bike – 35 minutes

I managed to get my butt to the gym last night, and by managed I mean I counted down the minutes until the kid’s room opened, and I could drop the kid’s off for a little bit of quiet workout time. Danny had to work late last yesterday, and the kids always seem to be a bit more energetic when he’s gone all day.

My kid’s are six years apart, so there is a lot of fighting going on. Jaden always wants to do what his big brother is doing, and Jacob just wants to do his own thing. Anyone else deal with this?

Back to my workout, I completed 8.5 miles in 35 minutes on the stationary bike. The bike is great because it doesn’t bother my calves or feet, but it hurts the heck out of my butt.

In case you wanted to know what my upper half looks like before going to the gym:

Last night, I started reading the book 11/22/63 by Stephen King. My mom had the book and let me borrow it. This is where the Kindle would come in handy because this book is huge. And I have actually been known to drop big books on my face. Yes, that it a true story. Danny thinks it’s hilarious. I suppose I would find it funny too, if it didn’t happen to me.

When I read in bed at night, sometimes I lay down and hold the book above me. Well, those big books get heavy. So far, I have dropped Harry Potter and The Stand on my face. You can’t make this stuff up. And those are big books. Oh, the embarrassing stuff we talk about on the internet.

So far, I am really enjoying the book. I was worried that I would be lost because I don’t really know too much about Kennedy and the 60′s, but I actually took a class about the Vietnam War in college, so when I was reading the book, a lot of info came flooding back. Plus, you don’t really need to know any history to read the book.

Today’s Workout

  • BodyPump

It was nice to go back to BodyPump today after missing it on Monday because of my physical therapy appointment. I will also miss it Friday because I have another physical therapy appointment. I hope this twice a week thing isn’t normal, because I don’t like missing BodyPump.

Going to BodyPump, because really you never can have too many pictures of your head on your blog:

I went back up to my normal weight today, but still staying with only 20 pounds on the squats so that I’m not adding too much weight for my feet.

Before going to BodyPump, I had a Van’s blueberry waffle with peanut butter and a clementine. I swear I could eat seven of these clementines in one sitting.

Later today, Jaden and I are heading to Target to pick a massage stick.

The massage therapist mentioned getting one, and I totally forget about it until someone mentioned it in the comments. I’m excited to try it out. I also have to pick up some jelly beans. For the kid’s Easter eggs, of course. I can’t help it if a few find their way into my mouth on their way to the eggs.
