Do all Cod live oils have Omega 3 fatty acids even if the ingredients only show it contains Vitamin A and D?

Posted by YJ

GNC Cod Liver Oil does not put amount of Omega 3 fatty oils is contained in their Cod liver oil but gives amounts of Vitamin A and D only.  Does this mean it does not contain enough Omega 3 in sufficient quantities to be listed.  In which case what's the point of taking it?

Like fish oil, cod liver oil is a good source of Omega 3 fatty acids. The main difference between cod liver oil and fish oil is that cod liver oil is high in vitamin D and A. Follow the guidelines on the bottle and don't overdo the cod liver oil as high levels of Vit A can be toxic.
