Yet, making a complete overhaul to your diet (especially for those who live off of pizza bagels and Fritos) isn’t exactly easy. Today I bring you a disturbing, disgusting, and absolutely fascinating video published in this article from Huffington Post. The video depicts the wildly different journeys of processed foods versus organic foods. One person has eaten Top Ramen, Gatorade, and Gummi Bears while the other has eaten homemade noodle soup, a hibiscus drink, and organic gummies. Both have also ingested a small camera to capture how their bodies process these different types of foods. But the beauty (if that’s what you want to call semi-digested food and intestines) of this video is what DOESN’T get processed. As you watch the ramen and the homemade noodles side by side, you see that the ramen stays virtually undigested even after hours and hours of working its way through the body. And the homemade noodles? Those go down with no problem.
What’s great about this video isn’t that it’s exposing something we don’t already know. We have been told time and time again that our bodies can’t process junky foods very well. No, the great thing is that this video gives you a horrifying visual of what’s actually happening in your body… something that most people don’t get to see.
