The weatherman told me it was going to be 65 degrees today. Usually I don’t trust the weatherman, but I was feeling particularly trusting last night when I set my alarm to wake up at 8 a.m. to run to fitness class at 9.
Not being a morning person, I had to do this last night to make sure I would actually get up and go to said fitness class.
But it worked! I started off my morning with a nice and easy 3 1/2 mile jog to the gym, followed by a 45-minute toning class, and then a 2 mile run back. (I took some change so I could stop at the grocery store down the street from my apartment and pick up a few bananas. Me no happy when I run out of bananas.) I could still see my breath during the first leg of my run (just one of the many reasons I’m so not a morning workout person), but the second half was quite perfect.
I know it’s more photogenic to put the bananas on top of the oatmeal, but I like them so much more cooked in with it. Makes it so much more flavorful.
I wore my new green spring dress today in honor of my grandmother, who would kill me if she found out I didn’t wear green! Happy St. Paddy’s Day!
