Meet Christina. A total foodie and great cook who wanted to get re-inspired in the kitchen and try some new recipes. Christina’s main concern going into the Total Reset Plan is that because she was on assignment for work in a new city, she wouldn’t be able to fully participate due to out of town guests and her love of exploring new restaurants. She was pleasantly surprised by how “forgiving” the plan felt and like Carly , made it work for her.

On Results …
Overall, I’m really happy with the whole experience. I experienced a lot less headaches, which is a huge plus.
Cocoa Date Truffles
I ended up being out of town for 2 weekends and had my mother-in-law and sister-in-law visiting for the week of Thanksgiving. I still cooked from the Plan on the three nights we stayed in with them and they really enjoyed it too.
I was really impressed by how flexible and forgiving the Total Reset Plan felt. It was so easy to jump back into it after being out of town and I was especially surprised by the end of the week 1 that I hadn’t “cheated” nor did I feel the need/desire to cheat. I usually crumble after 2-3 days on every other “diet” attempt in the past.
On a New-found Love of Salads and Simplicity …
I’ve never been much of a salad fan. I used to prefer salads with a high ratio of add-ons to greens, but your salads convinced me otherwise. I was also impressed by the minimalist ingredient list for some of my favorite recipes. I am so used to cooking recipes from Cooks’ Illustrated, which call for 20 ingredients and 20 steps to make something perfectly. Staying in a temporary tiny apt, I was a little worried that I might not be able to participate in your plan with my blender and food processor back in Chicago. My immersion blender proved to be a real workhorse! I am adding a juicer to my wishlist this holiday season so I can go back and try your juicing recipes.

On the Value …
Most of the recipes made more than enough for multiple meals, which is another reason why I didn’t get to try as many recipes as you provided. I brought lunch to work each and every day, and will continue to do so. I hope to continue going through the rest of the recipes that I skipped. I liked the daily emails. I felt like you put a lot of thought into writing them and the sequence you sent them. For me personally, I especially liked the tips around why certain foods are beneficial (e.g. kombu and beans).
