Deer in the Woods

I have been spending my entire night studying parts of the brain and their functions for an exam I have tomorrow. It's starting to make me go a little out of my mind, so here are a few funny brains to lighten the mood.

Fortunately, I also have The Royal live feed to keep me sane over the next week. Yay!


Zeke and I had a very interesting morning. On our usual walk, we had a little run in with a deer. It hopped out of the forest right next to us before running down into a little valley beside our building. Zeke had quite a scare, but found the deer very fascinating. It took all of my efforts to coax him to come with me back home!

I made myself a bowl of protein-packed oatmeal for breakfast this morning. I combined one and a half packets of apples and cinnamon instant oatmeal with half a scoop of Bodylogix vanilla protein powder. I also had a cup of coffee on the side.

For my coffee, I used up the last little bit of my Maxwell House Cafe French Vanilla mix. It was pretty good, but I don't think it was worth it enough to buy it again. I'll try another brand next time!

Morning Snack

I brought a pretty big snack with me to eat during class today. I knew I would need to wait a long time until I got lunch, so I came prepared. I had a Ritz Peanut Butter Crackerfuls and an apple during class.


Lunch was a little unique today because I put a little time into preparing it last night. I made up two slices of egg-white cinnamon raisin french toast last night to reheat for lunch today. I also had a banana with my french toast...

...and a container of steamed edamame with sea salt on the side. Yum!


I was feeling something spicy-salty for dinner tonight, so Casey and I made up mini pizzas using small whole wheat tortilla shells. I topped my pizzas with a tiny bit of light mozzarella cheese and plenty of veggies, including bell pepper, red onion, and hot peppers. These pizzas were incredible! They definitely satisfied any spicy-salty tooth I had before dinner.


I decided to focus on studying this evening instead of fitting in a workout. I'll have plenty of time to workout in the later half of this week, so I'm sure my body will survive resting tonight!
