Day Four and Five

Hellloooooo there! How was everyone’s weekend?

Mine was pretty good, but fairly busy. I was off from work, but was constantly on the go. Which is why day four (Saturday) of the survive on 35 project was basically repeat eats of my other days.


Except for breakfast. I was told we were allowed to use flour, sugar, spices, and oils with this challenge.

Why? Because those are the things that you buy and use for WAY more than a week span. I know it takes me forever to go through my cinnamon, olive oil, and flours even if I constantly use them.

So, for breakfast I made pancakes. I’m usually terrible at making pancakes, so I didn’t want to take my chances and ruin them. I decided to go with a pro.

I made Heather’s Coconut pancakes and they were delicious! Perfect pre-gym breakfast. Lunch and dinner were both repeats. I was out getting my hair done, running errands, and seeing friends.


These are the girls I grew up with (since age two), so they’re basically my sisters.

I’ve been having major trouble falling asleep lately, so I’ve been sleeping till about 9:30 everyday. So weird.

Sunday was no different. I woke up late, had breakfast, went to church, and basically relaxed the whole day. I love working out, but I also love my rest days.

But I also made some delicious low-budget meals Smile


Greek yogurt and fruit. Simple, but yummy breakfast. I ended up throwing a piece of my baked oatmeal in it after the picture because yogurt usually doesn’t fill me up by itself.

Lunch was bottom right corner. I love my salads, so I had one with grilled chicken.

Dinner was deeeeelish. Whole wheat pasta with homemade turkey meatballs, kale, and tomato sauce.

For the meatballs, I just threw some spices and mixed it all together with my hands. Rolled them into balls, put them in a mini muffin pan, and baked them in a 375 degree oven for 30 minutes.

Then, I steamed the kale in a pan with some oil and water. Cooked the pasta, and threw it all together. Healthy and easy. Smile
