Home Baby Cute Easter books for children

I’ve been reading some really adorable Easter books to Michael lately.  A few of them really have nothing at all to do with Easter, but they do have bunny characters in them.  I think that counts.  ;)

These are some of our favorites…

(And I use the word “our” very loosely- considering the fact that Michael is only 5 months old.)

Children's books for Easter from The Grass Skirt blog

1. Duck & Goose, Here Comes the Easter Bunny by Tad Hills

2. The Story of the Easter Bunny by Katherine Tegen and Sally Anne Lambert

3. The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes by Dubose Heyward

4. Easter Surprise by Beatrix Potter

5. Happy Easter, Curious George by H.A. Rey

6. Pat the Bunny (touch & feel) by Dorothy Kunhardt

7. I Love You, Honey Bunny by Sandra Magsamen

8. I Love You, Little One by Nancy Tafuri

9. Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney

10. Easter Bunny (baby touch & feel board book) by Roger Priddy

I read Guess How Much I Love You nearly every day to Michael.  It is just the sweetest little book, and it was actually a Valentine’s gift from my mother years ago.  There’s a little note from her inside which makes the book extra special.

Do you or your little one(s) have any favorite books for Easter?

  1. My mom used to always read “Love you Forever” by Robert Munsch to us every night and would cry at the end every single time. I can still hear the way she would sing the song in it :) It’s a great one if you don’t have it already!

    • Love You Forever is one of the sweetest books ever! The first time that I read it was when I was a teenager, and I was babysitting. I didn’t realize that the story was going to be so emotional, and I started to cry while I was reading it to the poor child!

  2. Love Peter the Rabbitt as well as Pat the Bunny and you have to read Guess How Much I Love You – excellent reads:)Keep on Reading – Happy Tuesday!

  3. My favorite is Velveteen Rabbit…..My kids are all older, so we don’t get to this this anymore, and I do miss time with them. Enjoy!

  4. Aww these reminded me of my own childhood! Cute picks!
