Curlin’ Near My Body Weight

Posted Jul 21 2010 4:22pm

Hi!

The weather has finally cooled down a bit today- or at least it seemed like it thank goodness. It was getting up to a bit above 100 for the past couple days which made it super hard to sleep! But last night I slept really good and felt much better today.

As always, I ate my pre-workout oats and then headed to the gym for my workout. Today’s workout was Back/Biceps/Abs. Although I had to cut the biceps short because my forearms started to hurt too bad. I hate that! My grip strength has improved tremendously but for whatever reason they were giving me problems today. Anyway, I still had a good one!

Regular (Straight) Sets:

Superset:

  • Cable Row while Kneeling on the Bosu (feet off the ground as well)- 35 pounds, 3 sets of 16
  • Low Row - 100 pounds and 85 pounds, 3 sets of 7-8 (I did as many as I could with 100 pounds, then dropped it to 85 to finish)

Regular Sets:

  • One Arm Row - 40 pounds per arm, 4 sets of 8
  • Single Leg Bent Over Row - 22.5 pounds per arm, 3 sets of 15
  • Single Leg Bicep Curl while standing on Airex mat- 40 pounds, 4 sets of 9, 8, 7, 7 <-forearms hurting
  • Single Leg  21?s while standing on Airex- 30 pounds, 2 sets
  • Cable Crunches - 80 pounds, 4 sets of 25, 20, 15, 15 <-increased reps
  • Bicycle on top of Bosu ball- 3 sets of 40 reps

Total Time: 1 hour 25 minutes Calories Burned: 530 Max HR: 167

I also curled 100 pounds…

Sorry, that was lame I know. My sister made me a little 100 pound dumbbell out of clay so I had to show it off! P.S.. like my veins? ;)

Post workout meal and meal number 3 were nothing to write home about- they were pretty same to the past few days.

My meal on the ride home from school though was yummy! I made Alyson’s Low Carb “Tortilla” but subbed NutraFiber for the wheat bran. (I’ve been wheat free for almost 2 or 3 months now and feel sooo much better!). Then I filled it with 14 grams Costco Organic PB, 50 grams of chicken breast, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon:

228/32/2.5/8

It was very good!

And dinner was another friend inspired recipes! I made The Fitness Cook’s Miracle Noodle Lo Mein ! Except with a few substitutions- a green chili turkey frank from our local meat market instead of chicken, and 2 tsp of almond oil instead of 1 tsp peanut oil (I needed to get more fats and cals in.)

Yummy!! Not sure of the cals or macros exactly because the turkey frank was from our local meat market and no stats on it. No biggie!

Well, my plans for the night include relaxing and watching my one TV show- the Middle! See you!
