Cranberry juice -- It's festive, fun and good for you!
Cranberries are rich in citric, malic, quinic and other acids. They also contain flavonoids, anthocyanins, ellagic acid, and vitamin C. Because of their tannin content, the berries possess a natural astringency.

Research shows that cranberry juice can block the spread of staphylococcus aureus. Strains of S. aureaus can cause a wide range of conditions from skin rashes to life-threatening bloodstream infections. What makes this discovery so important is that staph is resistant to most modern antibiotics. The reasons why cranberry juice fights staph are still not understood, but this study may offer hope in curing hard-to-treat infections.
