Goooood morning shoulders and abs!!
My right shoulder…
…and my abs decided to make a blog appearance this AM.
After taking these pictures in the gym bathroom – yes their tile is nicer than mine at the moment, hence the gym bathroom pics – I went on to ROCK a leg workout. Today was full of squats. Lots of squats. Did I ever mention how amazing squats are for your glutes and legs?
I’ve started using my Gymboss timer (that I use for every tabata & interval workout I do) for my bodybuilder style workouts as well. I set it to count down 50 seconds (or whatever amount rest time I’m doing that day), so that by the time it beeps and I start my next set, my rest time is always right where I want it. Rest periods differ greatly depending on your goal for that workout.
More muscle building = a bit longer rests.
More fat burning = shorter rests.
My next few days are insane schedule-wise so I also did a bunch of prep this morning after legs & breakfast.
Omelette muffins & homemade protein bars are almost always included in my food prep. Finding your staples and sticking with them helps make clean-eating enjoyable and very do-able with whatever kind of crazy hectic schedule you may have!
