Hey, everyone!

Well, I got an email this morning from The Bump letting me know that the baby is now the size of a mango.  I like these food comparison updates because they put everything into perspective.

However, they kind of ruin that particular food for me during that week.

For instance, the baby was the size of a sweet potato last week, and I just couldn’t bring myself to eat sweet potatoes for that entire time.  Although irrational and weird, it just felt…barbaric to eat them.

Guess mangoes are off the menu this week! Thankfully, sweet potatoes and I can be cool again. ;)

After reading up on the baby’s growth, I met Jen and baby Wyatt at Jumpin’ Java where I had a post-breakfast snack.

How cute is Wyatt? I just love that bald head and those chubby little legs.


If you can believe it, now I am even more excited about having a boy!


Changing topics….

Truth be told, I was never a big alcohol drinker before I got pregnant.  I could easily take it or leave it and never minded being a designated driver.

Well, it must be the hot sunny weather because I’ve just been dying to have a cold drink out on my patio.  Obviously, alcohol is out of the question for me at the moment, so I asked for your suggestions regarding non-alcoholic cocktails the other day.

I got a few great ones, including one from Tricia who said that when she was pregnant she drank “a lot of sparkling water with a dash of grenadine and a lime. It was refreshing and made me feel like a part of the party”.

Cindi said, “I like putting fruit & herbs in my water for some flavor. In my fridge now I have watermelon & basil in one pitcher, and orange and mint in another pitcher. Strawberry cucumber is yummy too!”

I love these ideas and cannot wait to start drinking away!

I also came across a few more which I’m sure will be really good for summer parties.  Pregnant or not, I think almost anyone would enjoy them.
