It seems like it is about time for another pancake recipe
During my run this morning, I had pancakes on my mind the entire time. I was CRAVING them. I hadn’t had them all week! Obviously, that is way too long
I wanted something a little different today, so after a quick Google search, I came up with this recipe , but I modified it to make them even more delicious.
Banana Oatmeal Pancakes
In a small bowl, mix together the ground flax seed and water. Let sit for a few minutes.
In a another bowl, mix the flour, oatmeal, baking powder, salt, egg, cinnamon, and honey. Stir in the hemp milk to the desired consistency. Stir in the mashed bananas and let sit for a few minutes to thicken (I went and took a shower).
Place a cast iron skillet on medium-low heat. Spray the pan with non stick spray.
Pour batter in 1/4 cup portions. Once the pancakes begin to bubble, flip them and cook for another minute or so on the other side until golden brown. Serve pancakes with sliced bananas and chocolate peanut butter.
I needed some chocolate this morning, so I added Justin’s Chocolate Peanut Butter and sliced bananas. They made these oatmeal pancakes AMAZING. If you are looking for this peanut butter, Amazon sells it REALLY cheap. I have it linked in my sidebar to the left.
