So, my appetite was really lacking last week and I just wasn’t feeling food much at all. The cure seemed to be a cheat meal. Now, I usually don’t go all out on my cheat meals – but this time I did. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms! YUM-O!
It was delicious! It’s funny, though, how much your tastes do change. As much as I enjoyed it, I was satisfied with about 1/10th of what was on the plate. I mean that was a REALLY big serving of food to begin with, but I didn’t eat nearly as much as I thought that I would.
I did take the leftovers home and thought I might have just a little bit later on. Hubby, being the sweetheart that he is, took the entire box with him to lunch so that I wouldn’t be tempted the next day :) I love when he does stuff like that… it helps keep me on track!
I really can’t think of a better cheat meal than this. Well, my mom does make a pretty wicked chicken casserole… she’s an amazing cook. I definitely schedule my cheat meals to take place on days when we go home to visit them, lol.
