Alright, I’ve had ENOUGH. This underarm chafing has got to stop. For whatever reason, the past few weeks I have been suffering from some heinous chafing- particularly in my right arm on every run. It’s to the point where I want to raise my arm out from my side and just start running like that permanently. last week, a girlfriend of mine who is also a runner shared that she was experiencing the same thing- so of course, ever since she told me that, mine has gotten worse. I’ve been lacquering on the silvadene after every run which makes it go away by the end of the day, but that doesn’t help me during the run. NOTE: you should really invest in this stuff….it’s burn cream. But, not just any ole burn cream- I’m talkin’ about the stuff used by the gallon in the burn unit of hospitals. It’s particularly great for blisters as well. Anyway, I initially thought that it was happening from letting my underarm hair become prickly, thus perpetuating the chafing. This is not the case. I’ve never had my underarms so continuously well maintenanced in my life (now if only I would apply the same concept to my legs…) until recently. Help! I suppose I should just invest in some vaseline and lube myself before running, but I would really just like it to stop!
Dinner two nights ago: Giada’s Baked Salmon . It was SUPER easy and so delicious. Basically, you throw everything in some foil, wrap it up, and bake it. Cue Ina Garten’s catch phrase, “How easy was that?”
I served it with a toasted whole grain slice of dinner loaf and a salad. I’ll definitely be making this again.
What should I do about the chafing?? I’m desperate, folks!
