Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!

Oh wow, where do I start?
We are nearly a week into the new year; time goes by so fast!
Here in Michigan (like many other places) we are dealing with 18 inches of newly falling snow, 35 mph wind gusts and -34°F wind chill and an actual temperature of -10°F...Not the kind of weather you want to hang out in.
Not that there is an upside to this, but I am nursing my banged up knees.

I took a major dive on some hidden ice on Christmas Eve while out for my run.
The bruises have faded for the most part but the swelling on the right knee and the pain just won't go away.
I continued to run through New Year's Day and I was having less problems when I was running!
What the heck?!
So for now, the snow and my knees are keeping me low profile, which is probably a good thing but I sure miss my cardio! You know I am a cardio junky!
The snow shoveling has kept me pretty busy (not my preferred cardio!)
Ah, so on to those changes!

As you already know, I have two blogs, this one and my recipe blog. To be 100% honest, it is too much and I am not enjoying blogging like I used to.
I love my blogs and I have so many things happening this year that I have come up with a solution that I am so excited about!
I am going to combine the blogs into kind of an enhanced healthy lifestyle blog with emphasis on my running (of course!) and my recipes, which I absolutely love.
It is all still in the beginning stages, and I will have the temp site up very soon.
While my guy is working on my logo, you will be seeing this
and this I expect it to be a smooth transition.
I can't even tell you how excited I am about these changes!

Guess what?
That's not all!
For the 2nd year in a row, I have been given the honor of being an official blogger for the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon
Over the next 4+ months, you can follow myself and my fellow bloggers as we Run. Train. Blog.

This is such a dynamic group, I am still so sorry that I missed out on the race weekend last year, but I already have my reservations and will be running the 10K on May 18th.
Why not the Half?
I am running the Novi Half Marathon on May 4th and since it is my first, I thought I should stick with the 10k in Cleveland.
It is gearing up to be such a great year!

In addition, I am also starting my 2nd term of grad school.
I am pursuing my Master's in Mental Health Counseling.
The classes are fairly intense and I will be done on or near January 2017.
It seems like a long way off, but very worth it.
It is actually pretty cool, my son Ian and I will be done with school the same year!
He will be graduating high school that spring. How great is that?

In addition, Ian and I are house hunting and I am looking for a job that will work with my school schedule.
Sounds like a busy year, doesn't it?
Sometimes things just go that way.
I am someone who always believes in forward motion.
