Carrot Orange Soup with a kick!

I’ve been riding the “raw food” train a lot lately.  Could you tell by this , and this , and this ?

In the past week I participated in my first two raw food events ever -  a raw food potluck with my IHN gals and a Raw “Cooking” Class. 

Although I absolutely loved both of these “raw” experiences, I have not been converted.  I still like my broccoli steamed, my meat cooked, and my eggs over hard.   However, I will say that raw food has lured my attention and my appetite for healthy, wholesome food.

There’s amazing raw variations for my favourite traditionally cooked meals.  Sweet!  Less time required in the kitchen with no cooking required.  Tell me more!  Meals are denser in nutrients and enzyme availability.  Ya baby!

So much to love about raw food….and this soup.  I was never a soup lover, but I’ve learned now to never say never!

My friend Jenn set the bar high with this recipe at our last potluck .   A creamy concoction with an unexpected kick.  Delightful.


Carrot Orange Ginger Soup

  • 2 oranges, peeled (remove white skin)
