Since even before most people have known about eBay, I have been on it and seen lots of changes. And yet through all these changes what I do or the amount I make hasn’t been affected. In fact, the amount I make has only continued to increase over these years. It was in 1997 that I signed up and began buying and by 1998 I was selling full time. This was a time when eBay had yet to become common language and prior to anyone realizing the possibility of making a living there. Eleven years, in the real world and online both, is a long time and in that time you can imagine the changes I’ve seen eBay go through.
But it’s not really about eBay’s changes, it’s about consistency as a seller. What to sell, where to find it and how to list it.
It isn’t a matter of just finding the things that have value, but about repeating the process over and over again to maximize the most profit from each item. More new changes eBay keep appearing with fee increases and policy changes- and yet my earnings have only gone up. This is because I know how to list in the best possible way for maximum dollars.

It’s only one thing to know that something has a value, but what is far more important is to know the way of getting the most profit out of the item.
Believe me when I say this is something that I know first hand. Even I had a time when getting profit was a struggle. It was the beginning and disasters were followed by more disasters which were followed by miscalculations and so on. But suddenly victories, great victories, began to happen. Since this was to be my main source of income, keeping in the game and being focused was crucial. I discovered strategies and techniques that worked over and over again. I was laughing at how easy it was. But this took time for me to develop, and after countless trials I perfected it into a foolproof system and a money maker like nothing before.
Now, I am a lazy guy. I probably should’ve put that out there first. I don’t like to work, and in fact, it’s a danger to my health. That was how I got to where I am.
You see, I was born with a deadly lung disease, Cystic Fibrosis. My parents were told by the doctors that they should not expect me to live past seven years- yikes. So unless I wanted frequent and long hospital stays, working full time was not an option for me. And when you are unable to work the hours to pay the bills and the only other option is to live with Mom forever- you have no options. I panicked.
Yup, I started selling everything I had in my apartment after my roommate moved out. I mean everything. And surprisingly enough, what I thought was worth money was… worthless. And the things I nearly threw in the garbage, were more profitable than I imagined. Not thousands of dollars or anything crazy, but it all added up quite nicely. I began to notice a pattern with these items and found that they were everywhere. People were passing them up all the time. In places everywhere…often in their own house, right under their noses.
This was awesome. It hardly took any time at all for me to find these things, buy them, and then list them. It all added up to consistent profit right away.
This is something I have kept as a secret for years. Both family and friends have always been pushing me to say what I do and how exactly I do it. They’ve always wanted to know how a lazy guy like me is able to make money and treat every day like a Saturday.
For years now I have held on to my incredible method, and yet no matter where it is I go- even right where I live, there is just too much stuff. There is just too much of it out there for me alone to do it. Although I of course wish I could.
[Quick eBay Insight: Almost everyone already knows about the new feedback changes. Sellers are unable to give "negative" feedback to buyers, they can only give positive feedback. And yet buyers are still permitted to leave all three types of feedback: positive, negative, and neutral. But, were you aware that a neutral counts the same as a negative for a seller?]
No matter the economy, no difference of what the trend is, every single day I am selling online and without any trouble at all. I still see experienced sellers who are online making the same mistakes I once made. They have no idea they could eliminate the hassles they’ve inadvertently created and also make so much more money at the same time.
Anyone can do it because it’s easy. And the best part of making an extra income on eBay is that you do it on your time. Design your own hours while relaxing on the sofa as you earn an income. Even earning money while you sleep becomes a quick discovery when you follow the proven steps.
In spite of all the changes, in spite of the economy eBay is still one of the easiest, low risk and fastest ways to make extra money.
