I had a (slightly) different breakfast this morning. Instead of my normal old-fashioned oats, I used a Country Choice Multigrain Hot Cereal that I got at Trader Joe's. It has a mixture of rye, barley, oats, and wheat. Haha, who am I kidding? It was pretty much the same breakfast ;)
It was really good, but I added too much water. This one doesn't soak up as much water as my oats do. I'll remember that for next time. I really liked the mix of different textures, though. Oh, and since we were out of pumpkin, I grabbed a can of pureed butternut squash. I know that might sound weird, but all it does is add volume and a creamy texture to the oats. I really like it (but not as much as my pumpkin!).
This contained: 1/3 cup hot cereal 1/2 banana dash vanilla extract lots of cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice 1/2(+) cup canned pureed butternut squash spoon of unsweetened cocoa powder sprinkle of pumpkin flax granola Spoon of Mighty Maple PB! Yum!!
Yep, it looks pretty much exactly the same as all my other oatmeal breakfasts. What can I say, I can't seem to stray from my lovely oats!
I also had a rice cake (and a half!) with yummy Whole Foods pineapple mango salsa. I really need to figure out how to make this myself!
I had another guacamole salad for lunch today. This looks even more gross because the guacamole started to turn a little brown overnight. Haha, sorry!
It contained: Romaine lettuce Alfalfa Sprouts Mushrooms Grape Tomatoes Guacamole and I decided to add some goat cheese crumbles a little while later (unpictured).
Thanks for all your feedback about my blog title! I really liked what Kelly said about how " it seems to encompass both healthy eating and a fit body." Cool! I'm down with that :D
I had another chiropractor appointment today, and my neck is doing better. She cracked the heck out of it, but she said that she got a lot of movement out of it today, which was good. And I still have a pretty good range of motion after a few hours, so that's nice!
Oh! I just looked out the window and saw a baby bunny in our front yard! It's adorable. But apparently there's a bunny family under our driveway, and it's pushing up the concrete :( I don't know what we're gonna end up doing about it. But isn't it cute?
Alright, I have no idea what we're gonna do about dinner tonight. I guess we'll figure something out when my parents get home. I've also got to figure a lot of things out about my plans for harp and school next year--I'm not really looking forward to that. Hope you're having a great Thursday!
