Busy, Busy Bee

Breakfast

I had to wake up well before the crack of dawn this morning to make it to school in time for a meeting before my 8am class. I was up at 4:45am and needed something to fuel my morning!

I made myself a nutrition packed green-ish monster smoothie for breakfast by blending together the following items...
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 2 large handfuls of baby spinach
  • 1/2 cup of frozen mixed field berries
  • 1/2 of a banana
  • 1/2 scoop of Bodylogix vanilla protein powder
It was delicious and jam-packed with nutrients to get my day started!



Lunch

I sipped on some red velvet tea during my morning class before digging in to my delicious lunch. I made a gigantic salad for lunch that was loaded with broccoli, shredded cabbage, trail mix, and fig balsamic vinaigrette. Yuuum!



I also had four pieces of low sodium turkey bacon (unphotographed) and a handful of gluten-free tortilla chips. Everything was perfect!


Dinner

Dinner came a little early because I was racing from a day full of classes to a meeting out at the barn. I made myself a rather quick and pretty less-than-healthy dinner. Oops! I cooked up a buffalo chicken burger in the oven and enjoyed it on a regular white bun (we were all out of whole wheat bread)! I also topped my burger with lettuce and tomatoes.



Just before heading out to the barn, I had a quick snack to keep my hunger away. I grabbed a small bowl of frozen mixed berries and topped them with a drizzle of Nesquik Plus chocolate syrup. Mmm!


Workout

Before getting to the barn, I made a quick stop at the gym to fit in a good workout. I did a 20 minute HIIT workout on the elliptical, then did about 15-20 minutes of core work and finished up with a good 15 minutes of stretching. It felt great to fit in a good gym session before heading out to the barn!

Evening Snack

After spending my evening at the barn, I came home a little hungry. I had a small bowl of regular Cheerios with almond milk before calling it a night!
