I know, I know. I said I was off the booze for awhile, and I am. But I had a pretty amazing idea this weekend, and when it comes to alcohol, I figure if it’s at breakfast it really doesn’t count.
Breakfast is easily my favorite meal, but I always eat the same things. Oatmeal, cereal, or eggs. Sometimes I make pancakes, but it’s rare. So on Saturday morning when I had a random craving for french toast, I decided to roll with it. I think I’ve made french toast once in my life, so I had to Google a recipe. Then I ignored all the recipes I read and did my own thing.
That was a good choice.
Who knew french toast was so easy? All I did was whisk one egg with about a tablespoon of almond milk, 3 (maybe 4) tablespoons of Bailey’s, a pinch of salt, and a little cinnamon.
Not a pretty meal by any means, but it was delicious.
Actually, it didn’t even need the syrup. I wound up pouring most of it off. I know – I’m a bad Canadian.
Too bad its a weekday or I would make this again for breakfast today. And tomorrow.
