Hello all, hope you've had a nice start to the week! I though I'd share some of the goodies I got over the weekend :)
First up, new running gear! I have been meaning to get some proper running clothes for ages, and after reading Paula Radcliffe's How to Run and seeing how many times she bangs on about how rubbish cotton is to run in, I knew I had to get some real kit! I went to Sports Direct which is my favourite shop for sporty stuff and got some Karrimor stuff - a top (pink of course!), shorts and a fab little bum bag. I have found that most running shorts/leggings don't have suitable zipped pockets and as I run with keys, tissues, energy tabs and ipod I need somewhere to stash my stuff. All of this came to under £18.
Also, have you guys noticed that running gear comes up really small?! I wear a size 10 or 8 but had to buy the top and shorts in a size 12!
On to my weekly library book haulage. I hit the running and diet/geeky food books as always and got The South Beach Supercharged, The Diet Delusion, The Marathon & Half Marathon Training Guide and The Sugar Addicts Total Recovery Plan.
I also picked up some bargain books from a charity shop in Chiswick which totally reminded me how bloody ace charity shops are!
Juice Master, Fast Food Nation and Birdsong. All three for about a fiver, marvellous.
