Today I send you strength. I send you strength to get to the next level in your exercise goals. I send you strength to be able to resist overindulgence in you eating habits. I send you strength to accomplish your weight loss goals. I send you strength to deal with the daily stress. I send you strength to overcome your addictive habits. I send you strength to keep a positive attitude. I send you strength to find the motivation you need to accomplish all of your dreams. I send you strength to stop the yo-yo dieting and make the lifestyle changes you need to succeed. I send you strength.

How can I be so sure my blessings upon you will succeed? That’s easy, I’m Irish and it’s St. Patrick’s Day. I have faith in the Lord and He will bless us and keep us from harm. I leave for you The Prayer of St. Patrick of Ireland.

This Irish prayer is attributed to Saint Patrick and often referred to as the “breastplate” of St. Patrick ~ words that shield.

I arise today
Through the strength of heaven;

Light of the sun,
Splendor of fire,
Swiftness of wind,

Depth of the sea,
Stability of earth,
Firmness of rock.

I arise today
Through God’s strength to pilot me;
God’s might to uphold me,
God’s wisdom to guide me,
God’s hand to guard me.

Afar and anear,
Alone or in a multitude.

Christ shield me today
Against wounding:

Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,

Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,

Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ in me.

I arise today
Through the mighty strength
Of the Lord of Creation
.
