Oh my gosh! It's 2013, where did the year go? The Ladies Holiday team is thrilled to be celebrating our one year anniversary in the bloggy world. What a lovely adventure it has been to learn, grow, laugh, cry, and share with you all. We have met wonderful people, and learned more about ourselves and each other. We are so excited for all the new possibilities ahead in 2013.

Seeing that it's a new year and therefore the time that many people like to set goals, commit to positive changes, and renew themselves, their lives, their routines or many other things, we are planning to do the same with our blog. Not to worry, our changes will be small and gradual as we have all had experience with pitfalls of trying to tackle too much too fast and then giving up entirely because of the enormity of it all. We are sure that the small changes we make will make a big difference in the quality of what we bring to you here each day, but in all the ways that really matter you can expect more of the same things that you've grown to adore about us. ;)

Some small changes we plan to make are ones that are pretty close to the types of changes many people plan to tackle in a new year and we feel that they will only serve to enhance our sparkle.
Such as
  • We hope to slim down our virtual waistline and get organized. Although we love our blog layout, there is always room for improvement. One of these days you may hop onto our site and find that things look a little different (we promise, nothing drastic) we'll clean up our sidebars and update our style.
  • Another form of organization will be found in the content that we present, again not major changes, just a more eclectic smattering of articles that reflect the dynamic aspects of modern womanhood. Posts on Family, Food, Finance, Green Living, Travel, Health and Beauty, Fashion and whatever else we come up with will be given more equal attention. *Look for my first Travel piece in a post next Wednesday where I will recount my recent trip to The Big Apple and I will share the fabulous restaurant I found near Times Square.
As I mentioned there are lots of things that you love about us that you can still expect on a regular basis, for example
  • Each week Seana will continue to share her "Mommy Moments" and we encourage you to email us any guest posts on this subject that you'd like to share at ladiesholiday(at)gmail(dot)com.
  • Deirdre will continue her occasional series "Woman in the Know" in which she interviews incredible women who've learned to live life with purpose and personal power.
  • Starting on the first Wednesday in February, I will bring back my Book Worm Wednesday blog hop where you can link up any posts related to your love of reading.
  • We will also continue our Photo Friday link up, for which we've gotten a great response.
  • Don't forget the occasional product reviews and giveaways that we all love.
  • Most of all, you will continue to hear the voices of we ladies, Deirdre, Tamar, Seana, and our sometimes poster and well beloved Christine. We will bring our hearts to each post as we share what we learn, how we're growing, the times when we mess up and how we pick ourselves back up--all with the honesty, heart, and humor that you've come to expect from us.
We hope that you'll continue on this journey with us through the coming year by checking in often and leaving the lovely comments we so enjoy and which help us to know you better too!

Wishing you peace, joy, and laughter in the new year, Tamar and the LadiesCopyright 2013
