It’s rather cliche to say my “thanks” on Thanksgiving, but I can honestly say I make an effort to count my blessings EVERY DAY. The people and opportunities that have been bestowed upon me in the past year are absolutely phenomenal. When I reflect on all that has happened in the course of ONE YEAR, I am amazed.
I am overwhelmed with gratitude.
I am going to keep this simple today, although I could expand on EVERYTHING and speak for HOURS about all of the beautiful people and blessings in my life. I have food, football, and family to attend to. I’m about change into my stretchy pants and embrace wine/food o’clock. But before I do… let’s talk GRATITUDE.
I am thankful for the leap of faith to start my blog.
I am thankful for the community of people that support me, tweet me, email me, encourage me, reach out to me, and inspire me on a daily basis. YOU ALL ARE AMAZING!
I am thankful for the outlets that have allowed me to share my passions (and obsessions)–FITNESS, HEALTH, FOOOOOOD, COFFEE, you know the drill.
I am thankful for my HEALTH and my desire to be the best me I can be (even with all of these injuries). I am thankful for how far I have come, but I am also thankful for how far I have to go. Life is journey and I am thankful to be living mine.
It STILL blows my mind that people READ, CARE, and are truly inspired by MY words, MY life, and MY journey. This keeps me going, keeps my soul uplifted, and my passions a’burning.
I cannot believe how far I have come with this social media, blogging, and personal branding business… but I am LOVING it. And it’s become such an essential part of my life. It makes me happy, because I #ChooseHappy. And that is such a critical part of my journey.
I am thankful for not only the individuals that have supported me along the way, but the BRANDS and COMPANIES all the same. I hold these partnerships, relationships, and opportunities near and dear to my heart.
On a more personal note…
I am thankful for all that Texas Tech and the Rawls College of Business has offered me. I am in LOVE with my school, in awe of my faculty, and thankful for everything Texas Tech. I have an amazing job as Social Media Coordinator…and the blessings just begin there. There is nowhere else I would rather be.
I am thankful for the PASSION that burns so deeply within myself.
I work HARD and even though many people think I’m CRAY for it, I am THANKFUL for the future that I am so desperately working towards.
I am thankful for my family. They support me, love me, and bear with my craziness. They are my ROCK.
I am thankful for my friends. They don’t judge me when I take pictures of all my food and workouts and Starbucks trips (and they are pretty much AMAZING).
Speaking of Starbucks, I am thankful for my baristas. They always know my order–and they sincerely care about my health considering they want to have a “serious discussion about my caffeine addiction.” I won’t be having ANY of that nonsense, but it’s nice to know they care.
I am thankful for YOU.
Just as you are. Here’s to MANY years of sharing in our journeys, encouraging each other, and living life to the FULLEST.
Let’s keep on keepin’ on, counting our blessings, embracing the small victories, enjoying the little things in life, and choosing happy day in and day out.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!Thinking non-cliche, what are YOU thankful for?
