Good morning! Welcome to birthday weekend day #2!
Jaden decided to start the day out right with a McDonald’s cinnamon melt.
I just ordered a coffee, but you better believe that I had a bite of the kid’s cinnamon melts. And Danny’s too. Those things are good.
Jaden’s party last night went really well. Everyone was able to make it through the snow, except for my brother-in-law. But he’s plows snow for a living, so I guess it’s understandable.
Jaden played with his birthday balloons while waiting for the family to arrive.
And I spent my time cooking in the kitchen. Danny supervised. We balance each other out nicely. Danny cleans, and I supervise. I cook, and Danny supervises.
On the menu was baked pasta, meatballs, potato salad, and french bread. Yum!
My dad and Grandpa liked it:
Marlene made the cupcakes for the party. They came out beyond awesome. Jaden specified that he wanted cupcakes and a cat, so that’s exactly what Marlene delivered!
How cute is that cat?
She also made a variety of other cupcakes for everyone.
Normally, I wouldn’t hesitate in reaching right for that peanut butter cupcake, but I had a bite of Danny’s white chocolate cream cheese cupcake and it was delicious. So, that was the cupcake that I ate.
Jaden had fun opening his presents. And spent the rest of the night playing his new Skylanders game on the Wii.
Today, we have a few special things planned, and tomorrow is Jaden’s actual birthday. But isn’t dragging out your birthday for the whole weekend the fun part? I think I’ll do that with my birthday too since it also falls on a Sunday.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
