It has been absolutely pouring all day, so no outdoor workouts were happening today. Instead I headed to the gym.
My workout began with 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical, I completed a full body strength training session consisting of 3 sets of 15 reps of the following exercises:
Seated Straight Dumbbell Curls
Stability Ball Straight Crunches
BOSU Ball Reverse Crunches
Pilates Plank Pose
Pilates Side Plank Pose
It was a good sweat session. Need proof?
Yup, I think our work was done, so I headed home for a shower and light lunch.
Lunch was an exact repeat of yesterday. I toasted up two slices of Arnold ‘s Whole Grains, Healthy Multi-Grain Bread and spread them with some Peanut Butter & Co. Cinnamon Raisin Swirl peanut butter.
A cup of sweet red grapes served as my side.
Now, you may be wondering what this afternoon’s post title is all about….
No, no, not THAT Big Brother. This big brother…
HAPPY 32nd BIRTHDAY DAVE!
With his son’s first birthday yesterday , my brother-in-law Dave has quite a bit to celebrate today! Dave has been a part of my family for over ten years, and he truly is the big brother I never had. He is one of most personable, understanding, patient, caring, and selfless men I have ever met, and he always provides love, encouragement, and support to all those fortunate enough to be know him.
While Dave’s profession may be a nurse, he is an incredible husband, fabulous father, and admirable man as well. He is sincerely kind and genuinely caring. He makes me smile, he makes me laugh, and I know I can count on him for anything. I am honored to not only call him my brother, but my friend…
even if he’s a Phillies and Eagles fan.
May God bless you with health and happiness Dave! Happy Birthday big brother, and many more! <3
