No, I’m not pregnant! I am making it official. In 2012, I will join:
There. I said it. Now it has to happen!
As many of you know, I’ve been waffling about this for several months. With each marathon day tweetfest, my desire grew. My mind and heart wants it, my body will catch up. I am in!
So what will my first marathon be?
September 30, 2012 in Corning, NY in the FInger Lakes Wine Region.
I debated Chicago, but I figure for a first marathon better go with easy logistics. No flight, no hotel, and those key two little words: FAST and FLAT. My husband’s family lives about an hour away from the race, and my father-in-law has even run it before. This means painless race-day logistics and an automatic cheering squad. And (this is the best part) since my husband is not a spectator sort of person, he’ll run it too!
Registration doesn’t open until December 1, so there is still time to change my mind about race selection.

Do you have a better idea? Any advice?
Yippeee! I’m so excited (and nervous!)
