If you didn’t see it, be sure to check out the first spotlight on Bite Beauty!
The second line, Sula Beauty, is actually a sister brand to Bite and can be purchased online at sulabeauty.com, at Duane Reade (beginning this month) and at Ulta. The line isn’t as high-end as Bite, and the prices are on par with popular, mainstream, drugstore brands.
Of all the products in this line that I tried, I was most impressed by the lipstick. It went on smoothly, and it was very creamy and conditioning. Plus, it had gorgeous pigment and only costs about $4! I really hope that the line comes out with more colors (right now, the options are very limited) because these truly are great lipsticks.
The lip liners were also super creamy, and there are a pretty good range of colors to choose from in the collection.
To use, you just apply several coats of the polish (this is key, as the polish is a bit watery at first), allow your nails to dry, apply the clear top coat, and then peel the polish off without using polish remover! I don’t know about you, but I hate nail polish remover (especially the smell). To me, not having to use it is a very cool thing.
And the fact that you peel it off also reminds me of the Tinkerbell polish I used to wear as a little girl.
Since I had some time to kill on Saturday afternoon before meeting some friends for a movie, I decided to pop into Ulta to check out the Sula display.
Even though my location didn’t have the largest selection, I got to see some of their other lipsticks and check out some of their blushes. The “Forget Me Not” (a coral color) and the “My Little Secret” (a very soft pink) blushes were my favorites.
Overall, I think this line is perfect for anyone on a budget or any girl who likes a good bargain. It is also great for those who like to experiment with color and bolder looks. Sula is also ideal for teenagers who can really pull off more vibrant colors and looks.
Have you ever tried any products by Sula Beauty? If so, what did you think of them and what were your favorites?
Do you remember Tinkerbell makeup? I remember it having a very distinctive smell for some reason. I also remember feeling SO grown-up when I got to use it.
Before I close, I’d like to announce that the winner of the Fresh Wave giveaway winner is Jenny O! Congrats, Jenny! I’ll be contacting you shortly.
Have a great day, everyone!
