Bars in Review: Caramel Nut Brownie

Luna: Caramel Nut Brownie

Luna bars are produced by Clif to appeal to women, and have 60 to 70 calories less than their counterpart. This bar has cocoa soy crisped rice as its inner layer, unlike the other plain crisped rice bars. I enjoyed the chocolate coating on the bottom and the drizzle of caramel over the chocolate coating on top. It's not a very nutty bar, contrary to the name, and I wouldn't quite call it brownie-like in flavor or consistency, but it does taste chocolaty, mainly due to the cocoa crisped rice/soy. Texture-wise, the crisped rice has a softer, lighter chew than the other crisped rice bars, although not as soft as its Clif bar counterpart.
