Barlean's Organic Oils - It seems like nearly every day something comes out about the health benefits of omega-3 fatty acids. These oils make getting your daily dose both tasty and convenient.
I sampled two of the Omega Swirl Flax Oils: Blackberry and Strawberry Banana . I can vouch for the fact that these truly do taste great, and they are also really fun to incorporate into meals or snacks (the label suggests adding them to oatmeal, smoothies
, or salad dressings) to add some fun flavor. The flax gives the oils a slightly nutty flavor that is very pleasant and not at all "fishy," like some omega-3 supplements.
I also love the fact that they are organic, and that the oils are sugar-free (they are sweetened with xylitol). I would love to try the other flavors!
I also got to try Barlean's Chocolate Silk Greens, a "rich, creamy, and delicious" drink mix that can be served hot or cold. It's gluten free, non-GMO, and contains antioxidants (from ingredients such as fruit and vegetable powders), probiotics, and enzymes. I've had green powders before that left me unimpressed, so I was a little wary of this one. I need not have feared--this fully delivered! I like it warmed up with almond milk for a hot cocoa-like treat, but it's equally good cold. I think it would be fabulous in smoothies, too. I couldn't detect even a little of the funky greens flavor. It was just pure sweet chocolatey bliss. Bonus: it's sugar free and sweetened with stevia! I think this is something that even kids would heartily embrace.
Thank you, Barlean's, for the chance to try your great products!
