I have to admit, this one is so easy that I wonder why I am posting on how to do hard boiled eggs and bacon, in any case, there is always someone who has not yet learned the basics of cooking breakfast. There are a number of different methods of doing the eggs and bacon, but I am going to keep this post simple and explain how I did this meal in order to save time and increase efficiency…living with twin toddlers forces parents to become efficient.
Turn the oven to 400.
Take out a cookie sheet, line it with tinfoil and make 4 walls by folding each side of the foil to keep the bacon grease in the tinfoil ‘boat’.
Line the bacon, and toss it in the oven for about 15-20 minutes. You shouldn’t need to flip the bacon using this manner of cooking.
While the bacon is in the oven, take out your eggs, place them in a pot and fill with water so that it just covers the eggs. Cover the pot, turn to high and bring to a boil, immediately turning to low for about 12 minutes. Once the time has passed, take the eggs off the stove, and place them in cold water, allowing to sit for a couple of minutes and then peel, chop and spice with a dash of sea salt and pepper.
Serve with bacon and enjoy.
It is a great idea to cook extra bacon and eggs so that you have left overs for breakfast the next day, or for a snack later in the day. Just put the bacon in a glass lock container, as well as the eggs in a separate glass lock container for later.
