It’s Thursday yay!!

How is everyone doing today?

On Tuesday I had my annual physical and the doctor called me yesterday to tell me my blood work came back as me being anemic. I need to get some further testing done to rule out anything serious but he thinks that can explain why I  am so tired lately. Honestly I am having major difficulties getting out of bed in the morning. I use to run 2-3 mornings a week but honestly every time my alarm goes off I feel like I got no sleep. I have also been having difficulties concentrating at work which could also be an symptom of anemia.

This was a tough workout for me yesterday. I did excellent with the Split Jerk beating my previous PR by 20 pounds but let my head get the best of me in the Metcon.

The RX was 45lbs for the Metcon so I decided to give it a shot. I completed the first round at 45 pounds but could not complete the second round at 45 pounds. I decided to take off 10 pounds and do 35 pounds instead. The rest of the Metcon I was disappointed in myself for taking off the 10 pounds  and got slower and slower throughout the workout taking breaks often.

I know not every workout is going to be great and I realize you learn from your mistakes but I was really disappointed in myself for letting my head get the best of me.

When I got to TBF’s I was explaining to him how disappointed I was and he reminded me of all the accomplishments I have accomplished since joining CrossFit. I instantly felt better; sometimes all you need is to be reminded just how awesome you are.

The quote above really made me think.. You can’t be awesome if you keep choosing to be negative; we need to think about the positive to be awesome!
