  • According to a recent study, avocadoes stop the growth of precancerous cells that can lead to oral cancer. They are also full of folate and vitamins C and E which help with cell growth and immunity.

A.L.T. Sandwich

Avocado, lettuce and tomato team up to make a veggie version of a classic sandwich.

Ingredients

  • ½ avocado
    2 lettuce leaves
    1 small tomato
    2 slices of whole wheat bread

Instructions:

  1. Scoop avocado from peel, place in bowl and mash with a fork.
  2. Clean and dry lettuce leaves.
  3. Spread avocado onto bread slices.
  4. Stack lettuce and tomato slices on top, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and eat.
