housebound Last night I tossed and turned until I couldn’t take it anymore! I finally dragged myself out of bed at 3 a.m. and distracted my body by answering emails.

This happens from time to time, and lately it’s been a tough stretch. My husband (who worked in critical care for 5 years and now the operating room) says I’ve had enough pain to last a lifetime.

So over the years I’ve learned a few ways to manage these nasty symptoms with a healthy dose of sleep, high quality food, exercise and the ability to be honest with myself…
