You may recall that I was on a big juice kick awhile back which was later replaced by a massive smoothie obsession.

Well, I was reading back through some of my old posts a month or so ago, and I remembered how wonderful I felt when I was drinking both smoothies and juice.  So, I dusted off my trusty juicer and have been happily juicing ever since.

My favorite concoction right now is just filled with lots of anti-aging properties.  In fact, I’ve even gone so far as to nickname it “Botox in a Glass” (though you’ll be relieved to know that you can still make facial expressions after drinking it).

You can alter the ingredients however you’d like.  I personally go very light on the ginger and sometimes only use half a cucumber.  Sometimes I even like to add a sprinkle of cinnamon or substitute a pear for the apple.

I know.  I’m so wild and crazy, right?

Drink this juice several times a week for lots of vitamins A, B, C, and K, to reduce inflammation, rid your body of toxins, and hydrate from the inside out.

Let me know if you make it!

We’re battling Michael’s first cold right now. Each little sniffle and raspy coo just breaks my heart, but I’ve made sure that these past two days have been restful.

My little one needs to get better soon because we have some fun plans in store for us next week. :)

Happy Friday!

  1. I hope Michael feels all better soon so you can have a relaxing weekend!

  2. Oh no, feel better Michael! We’re on Benjamin’s 2nd cold at the moment, it’s awful to watch :( Though I think we suffer far more than they do! One awesome recommendation I got if you haven’t heard of it already is the NoseFrida “snot sucker” – it seems gross (you’re literally sucking it out of their nose – through a filter though!), and he probably won’t like it but it works amazingly at clearing them out. Good luck!

    • We’re all too familiar with the snot sucker, I’m afraid. He’s usually really calm when I use it, but he wasn’t such a fan this afternoon! LOL.

  3. Poor little dude – get better soon and on to the FUN! I remember my one nephew getting whammed by the flu while I was driving to my place – not a fun car trip. I felt so helpless because he was just such a wee thing at the time. Happy Friday – Happy Weekend:)

    • Oh, I’m sure that was definitely an unpleasant ride! He seems to be feeling much better today and should be ready for some fun before too long. Have a wonderful weekend! :)

  4. oo sounds good! I can’t wait to get my juicer out of storage and start using it again!!

  6. Might have to try this :)

  7. Hi Erin, I hope little Michael gets better soon, it’s horrible when they have cold’s and can’t even blow their noses :(

I was looking for a simple green juice so this sounds great, it’s high on my to do list :)
