On November 8th, at 1:23 pm, Tim and I met our son, Nolan William Koller, for the first time.
This picture is typical of him- he loves his hands! He actually kept his hand up by his shoulder during labor and then extended it into a fist pump as he was born. That hand helped create 4 hours of pushing for his mama, but as you might suspect, he was worth every bit of effort.
The whole experience of giving birth was quite a wild ride! I am so grateful for the amazing team I had by my side- my husband, my midwife, the nurse at the Birthing Center, and the nurses at the hospital (yup, I had to transfer!).
Since then, I've been doing a lot of cuddling with Nolan, marveling with Tim, sharing the joy that is my sweet, handsome son with friends and family, and getting spoiled (I really am- Tim has been doing all the housework plus anything else that comes up while I recover and feed and cuddle, and both of our sets of parents have brought us quite a few meals, as have our cousins, Kevin and Stacey.)
I'll be back with more details! Thanks for checking in- I'm looking forward to sharing more with you!
