I’d like to thank you all for participating in the contest! I really enjoy sharing some awesome things with you guys, and especially when it gets to make you feel special.
I’d like to congratulate:

I pamper myself by watching junk tv. Examples: anything on E, reality TV shows on MTV, Extra, celebrity gossip. I work full time and go to nursing school full time so sometimes i need a lil something dumb to unwind.
the gel manis are awesome!! Especially in my field, glove changes, purelling all the time. I would love to win! PS i like them on FB
I hope you enjoy the mani, you’re in great hands. I must admit, trash TV is certainly a guilty pleasure, but after this Tweek Week, I only miss it a little!
I noticed I wasn’t so consumed with the thought of weight loss, dieting and healthy living. I just concentrated on my Tweeks and things went really well! I had great stamina, I wasn’t as sore in the morning, I noticed some serious definition in my fake-abs… or ‘FABS’ as I like to call them
They’re not fake, per say, but they’re in their baby stages. I’d say by summer, you might even see 4, instead of two of them.
Things that REALLY helped, was staying properly hydrated. I stuck to coconut water and low cal gatorade during my work-outs, what a huge difference!
The mini-quiches were great and kept me full sans snack! Which also helped me cut out the sugar from my oatmeal. I do use the low sugar variety, but swapping protein for sugar felt like a good trade to me!
As for whole grains, rice was easy to mix in, as was ditching the buns and staying away from all pasta this week. As much as I love it, I didn’t really crave it. I didn’t sneak any not-so-awesome treats (pop tarts, donuts) and I stayed away from my lite yogurts too.
I also tried a new recipe I sort of made up! Buffalo Roasted Brussel Sprouts! Lemme tell you, SO good!
VERY easy to make:
Cut a bunch of brussell sprouts in half with core attached, peel a couple layers for crispiness. Mix in 3tsp of EVOO + a couple dashes of kosher salt + a generous heaping of franks red hot + sprinkle low fat parmesan cheese and mix by hand in a bowl. Place on tray. Crank the oven to 375 and leave in for about 20-25 minutes.
This week, I’m going to improve my tweeks, the consistency was great, now I’m just going to incorporate the ones I missed. Hitting the weights more, vitamins and one thing I wasn’t so great at mastering… a proper bed time. I’ve been staying up to watch Conan so I often don’t hit the hay till around 1am. Then my alarm at 5:30am. I don’t know about you guys, but running on 4 and a half hours of sleep is not awesome when you work for 9 hours then work out for almost 3 hours. This could definitely be making my sugar levels go berserk! So here’s to an earlier bed time this week!
I hope you all have a beautiful and romantic Valentines Day! It’s not just for couples… it’s for all shmoopies alike.
