I was pretty excited getting up this morning because I knew I'd be able to find out who the winners of the two pair of Mizuno shoes are! This is only my second time using the Rafflecopter app to manage a giveaway and it sure makes things easy from collecting all the entries to randomly selecting the winner(s).
Before I do the honours, a big thank you to everyone for their interest in this contest, for all of the awesome haiku and for their help in spreading the word to their Canadian running friends as well. It's rare to find a contest open only to Canadians so it was pretty exciting to be given this opportunity by the Canadian Mezamashii Run Project. A huge thank you to Mizuno and the wonderful people that work there.
But now, what we've all been waiting for...here are the winners!
A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS GOES TO:
Renee & Jennie
Renee has just embarked on the journey to her very first half marathon by joining up with the Runcouver project, a super cool for-women-only training program that has just been launched here in Vancouver with the goal of getting all 10 RunCrew members across the finish line at BMO Vancouver and/or Seawheeze 2013! Renee has also just launched her own blog to chronicle her exciting journey with the Runcouver RunCrew, check it out here .
Jennie also has a great story - she is currently training with Team in Training for the Tinkerbell Half Marathon in January 2013 and is chronicling the journey on her blog . She has been working her buns off raising money for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society of Canada and is currently hosting a super cool virtual race right now called the Tink in Training Virtual Run . I've signed up to help her reach her goal and so should you!
Congratulations to both of these fabulous women. A shiny new pair of Mizunos is coming your way! I will contact each of you directly with instructions, but if you see this before I get those emails out, please contact me at ndscott [at] shaw [dot] ca.
And for everyone else, thanks again for entering and for all of the follows on Twitter. I look forward to getting to know each of you and hope you will stick around for the rest of my own journey to the Goofy Challenge in January 2013. And even though you didn't win this time, I promise you it will be worth sticking around since there just might be a few more Mezamashii Run Project invites coming along on the horizon...winning a pair of shiny new Mizunos would make a wonderful early Christmas present, don't you think?
