When I started blogging I thought to myself, “well, this will be fun and amusing to me.” I honestly never expected readers because my life (and myself) are pretty boring at times. But, I’ve been so happy and honored and surprised that I’ve found lots of cool, interesting, and king people through the blog world. Seriously you all rock my world.
I was really happy this week when two of my fav bloggers gave me blog awards!
Kelly from Healthy Living with Kelly gave me the sunshine award! THANK YOU, Kelly !!! The sunshine award is awarded to bloggers whose positivity and creativity inspire others in the blog world. I totally struggle with positivity sometimes, but I strive to have a constantly upbeat and optimistic outlook on life, so this really made me smile.
I’d like to share the Sunshine Award with Diana . Because her blog never fails to make me laugh out loud!!! Seriously, if you’ve never read her blog, go over and check her out. She’s hilarious. And the Empty Nut Jar because her strength shown through her writing is incredibly inspiring.
Diana at My Marble Rye gave me the Creative Writer Award! I was never the creative kid in the family…so this pretty much makes me beam with pride.
Once nominated for the Creative Writer Blogger Award, here is what you have to do:
1. Thank the person who gave this to you.
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
3. Link to the person who nominated you.
4. Tell up to six outrageous lies about yourself, and at least one outrageous truth.
5. Nominate seven “Creative Writers” who might have fun coming up with outrageous lies.
6. Post links to the seven blogs you nominate.
7. Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know you nominated them.
OK…here are my 7 things. Can you tell which one is the truth?? (Also, if you know this answer…I’m looking at you, Meg…no spoiling it.)
I learned to ride a unicycle when I was 6 years old.
I was a champion ballroom dancer by the age of 12.
I won the state spelling bee in the 5th grade.
I was a competitive mathlete in high school.
My childhood puppy and I won a regional frisbee competition.
I went all the way to the national science fair in the 9th grade.
I was an accomplished gymnast until I grew 6 inches in 1.5 years.
But seriously, this almost makes me uncomfortable, because I want to name everybody. Because I’m just a newbie and who am I to be nominating people? Just part of my bloggy insecurity. I’ve apparently been pretty blogging insecure lately.
