When I was a teenager, I babysat for triplets (two boys and a girl) starting from the time they were born. Needless to say, I changed many many diapers during that period.
Out of all those years of changing diapers, I never got sprinkled in pee. Not once.
But after just one week of being a mother, my son now has me singing a different tune.
One minute, I was changing an adorable cooing baby, and the next, I was watching as pee sprayed all over his head, pajamas, diapers, changing table, and of course, all over me as well.
And then the next morning, the same thing happened again.
I’m sure that I’ll get the hang of it eventually, but until then, I should probably invest in a good rain poncho.
After that rather appetizing tidbit, I’m going to share some of the healthy foods that I’ve eaten this week…
Healthy eats from the week
Salad with lots of veggies and grilled chicken
Omelet with tomatoes (my heartburn is gone!), mushrooms, and spinach
Salad with tuna, black olives, celery, onion, cherry tomatoes, and mushrooms
Salad with tuna, celery, and sliced apples
Greek yogurt with blackberries
Green smoothie with 1/2 a pear, 1/2 an apple, 1/2 lemon, spinach, and 1/2 a banana
Whole wheat turkey wrap with a side salad (eaten at the hospital)
Have you ever had any interesting experiences while changing a diaper? Do you have any tips on how to avoid pee showers? What are some of the healthiest things you’ve had to eat this week?
Sometimes you have to use the fresh diaper as a shield when changing little boys diapers. Another tidbit, always point his manhood down before you fasten the new diaper. This will save you many wash loads.
