For the past while, maybe a year or so, I have cut my running down to 3 times a week. I kept getting hurt (hips & knees mostly) and I was SOOOO sick of it. But since my reduction to 3 runs a week, I haven’t had ANY injuries (knock on wood!).
So today I decided to try and add another, shorter, easy run, to my week. So far this week I ran 3 and 5 miles, and today I went for an easy 3.5 mile run.
Besides wanting to add another run to my week, I really really needed to get out and reduce some stress...which today was in the form of a very whinny little man! He got up a couple hours earlier than he usually does, so both of us are low on sleep and both of us are grumpy! The jogging stroller made for a nice bed for his afternoon nap!
And the absolute best part of the run was DRY PAVEMENT!!! I didn’t get it for the whole run but it was amazing to have a non-slip surface to run on again! On the flip side, the spots that still had ice were SUPER icy because it melted a little. So it was like an ice skating rink after the zamboni cleaned it up. Super super slick!

My post run snack was a toasted english muffin with pb and bananas. My little man shared the banana with me!
