a week of pinning, bookmarking, and wholehearted living: 2-10-12

Posted Feb 10 2012 11:08am

Before getting into this week’s roundup, I have to share. Remember the beeramisu I was obsessing over last week (seriously – I posted about it all over Facebook , Pinterest , and the Twitter !)? Well…I made it and yup….my husband loves me even more for it and yup…it’s been requested as our Valentine’s Night treat. So take that tiramisu…there’s a new player in town!

  • Hubby turns 43 this year and I’m thinking a superhero birthday party is in order…he’s excited. Have I mentioned how much I love that man ?!?
  • My message is one of living authentically and wholeheartedly and believing enough in yourself to push past your fears and let your inner light shine through . Does that mean you won’t have bad days? Hell no. I have them all. the. time. What it does mean is that you don’t let those bad days define you and instead, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and carry on with your awesome self. Christine Kane has a great article on how to do just that ~ How to Deal with a Bad Day .
  • Sawyer and I had a huge oooh-aaaah fest over this little kitty . Can you stand the cuteness? Makes my kitty ovaries ache….
  • Winter has finally decided to rear it’s head in MN which has me hankering for hearty soups and stews. I plan to have a pot of this Chicken Stew with Butternut Squash and Quinoa on the stove for dinner tomorrow night.
  • I stumbled upon a local wine blog that I’m loving ~ The Savvy Lush . I could read her writing all day long and she loves wine. Enough said.
  • My friend, Susan ( Rawmazing ), posted a recipe for kitchen dump cookies and I actually have everything on hand. I love when healthy and nutritious meet sweet and satisfying. Did I mention they’re easy to boot?
  • Liv Lane  wrote about Restless Soul Syndrome this week and she nailed it perfectly. I’m glad to put a name to what I feel so often. Is Restless Soul Syndrome a bad thing? Not necessarily…it’s about listening to your soul’s desire to keep growing in life. The bad comes when you listen but continually ignore. I rather like my Restless Soul…it keeps my life interesting!
Of course there’s a ton more goodness out there. What did you find inspiring, silly, or just plain share-worthy around the web this week?
peace, jen
