A Sign of Things to Come

Yesterday was a rough and distracted day for me.  Such is life.

This morning I woke up to find a beautiful rainbow outside my window.  My fingers are crossed that this is a sign of good things to come.  It’s a lucky rainbow. :)

Aside from the rainbow, which was a lovely surprise, I’m doing my typical morning routine.  Watching the news, reading up on blogs, drinking coffee, and enjoying a high fiber breakfast.

Eating a high fiber, heart healthy breakfast is so important for overall health.  It sustains you (by keeping you full longer), can improve insulin resistance, improve cholesterol, and help maintain health body weight.

In my breakfast this morning:

  • Gluten-free oats
  • Oat bran
  • Dried apple slices
  • Sliced almonds
  • Lecithin granules
  • Ground flaxseed
  • Cinnamon

I topped everything off with a little dash of almond milk.  Mmmm….
