The mayor of New Orleans made some unfortunate comments recently -- as he strives to draw the citizens and business back to this old and important city! He evidently wants the city to be "chocolate" and is not afraid to divide the community!
He better hope for a nice balance of white, milk and dark "chocolate" if he ever hopes to rebuild a healthy city. New Orleans is made up of many cultures and is often referred to as a "melting pot" similar to Brooklyn and the Bronx! I'm proud of the diverse cultures of the City and resent the continuation of " them against us" by any one culture of the area!
"Brain drain" has slowly occurred in this city over the last several years and it will continue as long as ineffectual leaders are placed in positions of authority and control! You reap what you sow!
If there is any hope for New Orleans it lies in the strength of the community to work together to rebuild! Not to work against one another!
