I had to cut out of my test early to make the doctor’s appointment. So, I basically just did my best with the time I had and turned it in. The doctor said I wasn’t dying (I told Ben if I was he should spread my ashes California). I have the first signs of bronchitis, but can probably fight it off with rest and more Mucinex. He also prescribed an inhaler to help my lungs, but I’m on the fence about getting it.
After the test and appointment I was a bit frazzled. I ate lunch (leftovers of Panera and salad)…
and some cherries for dessert
and then took a nice walk with an old book – Geneen Roth’s “When you eat at the refrigerator, Pull up a chair“. I’ve had this book for years and really love Roth’s approach to intuitive eating. She is really honest in all her books too. If you don’t have a problem with roller coaster dieting or binge eating – you probably wouldn’t get it, but if you do I highly recommend all her stuff. Ben’s mom had to ship our Christmas gifts since we were just doing carry-on luggage when we went to Florida. Yesterday we got all our loot plus some extras! She added in a few food gifts like this meat and cheese box:
I am mostly interested in this cheese…
and these mustards… Cranberry mustard – this can be really good or really bad
And this Irish Whiskey cake. We opened it up last night and I had a piece. It is actually really good! I didn’t expect much from a boxed cake, but it’s super moist. It kinda reminds me of something I made in my easy-bake oven for some reason (but in a good way, if that’s possible). Now our house is in shambles and I have to clean it before I have a break down (usually I can live in a mess, I don’t know what’s up with me?).
Question: Anyone have cool plans for the weekend?
Me: We are meeting up with some friends for a couples game night tomorrow. I’m excited Other than that…nope.
